Sometimes I get a little carried away with the post processing. I can't help myself though, I love my photoshop time :). What do you think about this wide angle rebound from a game I shot at UTC, too much?
This long exposure was from a night I spent driving home. I left a job in Charlotte and decided to make the 5 hour drive home that night. I was making a youtube tutorial and this was one of the shots I got while shooting the video. Twas a beautiful skyline, would love to get back out there and shoot again sometime.
Back in early 2013 I did my first photography tutorial for youtube on steel wool photography. I just saw this photo and thought it deserved a spot as the Pic of the Day. I plan on getting out and doing some more steel wool photos this summer with some of the Newtog crew, so this post is a little motivation for me to plan on getting some killer shots next time we go out. Hope you enjoy :)
Since I won't get to visit the golden coast this year, I am looking back on the photos from last summer and enjoying the memories. This shot was from a test shoot with my 300mm 2.8 lens. I had gotten the lens on my way to Cali and had not shot with it. I took it out to the beach and practiced shooting seagull silhouettes at sunset. I had never been more impressed with a lens. I miss the sunsets over the ocean and the beautiful scenery of huntington beach and driving up big sur. I hope to get back out there in 2015 and really dive deep into the wilderness to experience everything that beautiful state has to offer.
On my way home from shooting USA hockey national tournament in Jersey right outside of NYC this weekend, I set up outside the fens of a field of giant satellites. I had seen this place on my way up the week before and thought maybe I could get right underneath one. So I drove down and tried but heavy security prevented me from getting any closer. So this is what I ended up with. Not what I was hoping but a star trail none the less.
