Guardians of the Lake

Spent the beautiful sunday afternoon out on the lake with my wife and parents. I decided to take my camera and spent a few minutes capturing the beautiful birds that build nests on the markers out in the middle of the lake.

Captured with the Nikon D7000 (link below)

Middle Earth

Do you ever wonder what is below our feet? As a planet, we put billions into exploring other planets and sending things out of our solar system. Which I'm not saying is a bad thing, I would love to explore space. But why have we not mapped the inside of our planet as thoroughly as we have mapped moons of distant planets?

After watching a recent video about cave photographer Chris Higgins, I felt the same desire of exploration as I do when watching shows like Cosmos or Brian Cox's various series about the Wonders outside our planet. The only difference is I wanted to explore wonders of my own back yard, rather than be blasted off into space.

We live in an incredible area geologically. I had no idea that places such as what is pictured below were just hanging out in random areas unknown to most people. It is truly awesome and I can't wait to find more places like this.

I will post most of the photos from the cave here today but none of these give even an ounce of perspective to how truly amazing this spot really was.

Hope you Enjoy :)

And I couldn't decide if I liked the black and white or color of the next image.

Let me know which of any of these images you like the most in the comments below :)

Chattanooga Football Club

Finally got to shoot a home game of our favorite soccer team here in Chattown. I could only shoot the first half but I got to see a couple great goals. The first goal of their 3-0 win came in the 19' from Sias Reyneke. And he was nice enough to walk over and do a little finger dance for me after putting it in the back of the net.
