Pic of the Day

Pic of the Day: Pirates be gone!

So usually my photoshop editing consists of color correction, perspective distortion, and a few touch ups. Todays image however, required some pretty intensive background removal.

So I came upon this 100 million dollar SuperYacht while shooting twilight shots around Sydney Harbour. La Masquerade, which is owned by Sir Robert Ogden of the UK. The image doesn't do it justice because this thing was HUGE. Which is why its called a Super Yacht I guess. Anyways, you don't just walk by a scene like this without capturing it in all its glory.

However, there was one problem. Ya know those times when you dock your super yacht at one of the most iconic places in the world, then a freakin pirate ship floats up and docks next to you. And it just lets its ugly waft all around your beautiful yacht air. Ugh I know right.

Well that was the situation here. I had one of the most beautiful ships in the world posing for me in front of one of the most iconic landmarks ever... And there is a flippin pirate ship in the background ruining the shot :/. But good thing for me I love my photoshop time. It was a pretty extensive cloning and background replacement job but it could have been much more difficult. Good thing it was night time :) so I was able to bring back the beautiful image that I wanted to capture. :)

Hope you enjoy
